Murugan Idli Kadai

Yesterday had dinner at Murugan Idli kadai in Besant Nagar, Chennai.

The shop "Murugan Idli Kadai" in Besant nagar located just opposite to the Beach and close to the Besant Nagar Church. There was such crowd in the shop, me with friends registered for our turn and waited 15 mins.

Then there was a call "Sivaprasad", "Sivaprasad", "Sivaprasad"..

We get in to the shop. It was airconditioned one.

Started our actions..

First we ordered pair of plain idlies, each idli cost Rs.4.50 taxes extra.

For the idli the side dish goes like..

1. Cocunut chutni
2. Tomoto Chutni
3. Sambar
4. Mint Chutni
5. Kotha malli Chutni ( Thank god they have not charged anything extra for chutni)
6. Podi with oil ( It costs Rs.3.00 extra )

Strange thing:
Though the shop named as "Murugan Idli Kadai" it does not have any varietes of idli.
But they have different varities of dosai. Quite surprising.

Unique Thing:
Noticed there were metal tumblers with holes . I wondered how they will pour the water in. But soon the attender placed a plastic water cup in it and my doubt was cleared
