ECR Road is unsafe !!

I 'm a regular user of ECR - East Coastal Road developed and maintained by TNRDC - TamilNadu Road Development and Corporation . This road stretches around 130 KMs ( in between the road at somepoints due to some constraints roads are not maintained by TNRDC,
especially in Pudupattinam ( Kalpakkam) ) connecting Chennai and Pondycherry.

Though this Road being declared as NH45-A, I do not know whether it's meet the NH -( National Highway) standards. Since accidents on these road become usual one now a days.
I felt some corrective steps should be taken from TNRDC since the road being tolled.

On Last friday, as usaual when I back to my home, Cuddalore I met two accidents. This not
rare phenomena, I used to met atleast one or two everytime i travelling on this road.

The following could be reason, i felt for these accidents.,

1. No. of dangerous curve on this road.

2. Less Heavy vechile ( Lorry, Trailor) traffic, hence people who drives Car , Two wheelers and Bus driving that they own the road.

3. No speed brakers. ( Actually it should not be ! for NH ways )

4. Since this road mainly connects Pondy and Chennai people from either of the City flying
at speed to feel their driving .

5. Since Pondy known for Bars peoples used to go to Pondy on weekends & Festival days , then
on return drunk and driving the vechile.

6. Narrow roads.

7. No center median.
