Just observed and on a chat with the Cuddalore - Chennai ECR Route driver it is become clear now the ECR - ( East Coastal Road ) lose its edge over GST Road. The main reason
is that ECR road is accident-prone. ECR is toll road and the toll which being levied is high
over compare the proposed toll charges for the GST road.
1. GST Road is 4 Lane .
ECR is single road with lot of unsafe curves.

2. On GST Road all the major junction are provided with over bridges.
There is no single over bridge on ECR.

3. No of Petrol Bunk, Hotels and Puncture shop.. all exists in every 5 - 10 KM.
It is hard to find shops on ECR Road.

4. Proposed Toll fee on GST is lower than ECR

5. No of accidents on GST compare to its traffic is quite less against ECR.
